I wanted to ask those members who are knowledgeable on Seated dime varieties if they think this dime is an F-103a. The ebay photos were small and I used the zoom feature on my browser to make them larger.

Here's the online reference book for this variety: http://seateddimevarieties.com/date...103apage.htm

Am I seeing things?

The reverse die crack looks a whole lot like the F103a, can't say for sure about the obverse "7" points between two denticles.

The No Stars variety has been on my list for quite a while. That's a nice one too!

PCGS does not recognize the variety, and the latest sales for 1837 No Stars, Small date, VF35 have been $384 and $441 through Heritage (which includes buyer fees).

the reverse matches up perfectly especially with the rotation and the die crack. I would say you're in business that its an F-103a

Thanks for the replies. I wanted to see if I was on the right track. Like I've said before, I am a newbie at identifying die varieties, but I am eager to learn.

I put it on my watch list for now. I don't think my mom would appreciate me spending that much money right now. If a community member wants to snap it up then by all means go for it
