I have been looking around alot online and I want to get into metal detecting! Any advice will be greatly appreciated! where to buy from, what to buy, best places to detect! I'm thinking around $200-$300 spending money for a detector! hook me up!!

250 or the 350 if you can afford it. My best find to date was with my first cheepo bounty hunter... Since I bought a better detector I haven't topped that first find, by far... I'd say it's more of where your hunting opposed to what your using. But a better detector is always a bonus.

You may also consider the Fisher F2. It usually comes with a better package deal, meaning more coils for the money. The Ace 250, 350 are also good.
