Save the time and effort and get a replacement. Find a nice BU coin at a local show that is a high grade for a low price. Rather than having a cleaned coin.

Thanks for all the advice guys, I appreciate it! Yeah, sure enough those coins are pretty shot out. All the copper ones looked fine on the reverse when I removed them, but those zincs were even worse underneath.

Oh well, it was a learning experience. I'll find a better place to store them for the next 30 years!
