1795 Bern Thaler Puzzled

I post the original question in TPG sub forum but think the follow up questions should be posted here.

The coin below seems to have Dav-1759/KM-149 on one side while having Dav-1760/KM-160 on other side. The coin was graded by NGC as Dav-1759. Any idea how this type of minting can happen ?

I don't know if mule coinage ever happened with this series, but that's what this sounds like to me.

Definitely worth the $ to resend it and pay for the error attribution service. First such piece I have seen, but clearly a mule.

I agree with Bob Almighty. Sounds like that's what happened. It was a heck of a lot more common then than it is now.
