The coin posted is a Japanese 2 Sen coin from Meiji year 15, or 1882.
Nice AU coin.

Reading Chinese characters on east Asian coins to identify them seem to be a challenge with many western collectors, but it is only a few characters that you have to know to correctly identify their date, type, etc.
