After reading the thread about mint sets being too cheap, I thought it might be a good idea to create a thread where we can post our latest deals on mint, proof or any other "mint product" deal.

Glad to spark more discussion!

After my other thread, I got a lot of half sets (one mint) of 1970, 1972 and 1988 for $3 shipped, which is about face value. That 2005 p+d I got for $3.60 smells like cigarettes so badly that I am tossing the envelopes, so I'm glad I didn't pay for any collectible value.

I really only want them for the Half dollars, so I only buy them if they are below face or the cost of half dollar on its own.

I have dozens I tried to sell at a yard sell for just a little over face value. No luck. I cut up over 400 silver sets and ended up with a lot of pennies and nickels in cello. Have 4 rolls of proof Sag dollars, pennies and nickels from newer silver sets. Good to see some people still want non silver sets. I hope to find someone local like that to load mine off to enjoy

Just bought unopened mint sets - 69, 70, 71, 72, 74, 77, 81... 36 dollars, no great deal, until you consider the 1971-D 50C FS-101 it included (pics to come soon)!

Update on this deal: I was able to flip the 71,72,82-92 sets for $70. That leaves the 68-70, 73-81 sets at an average cost of $1.25 each. The 3 sets with the 40% silver halves have a melt value of $2.89 + $0.41 face value per set and the 73 -81 have a face value of $1.91 per set. I will probably keep the sets with the Ikes for my near dace value set, and the 40% for my 40% all denomination set.
