Like others, I'm not into comic books, though I respect those collectors and think this is an amazing issue.

A slabbed comic? Where's the fun in that? I'd want to read it!

(Plus I don't have the money. I'd not only have to sell everything I own but everything my neighbours own too. Don't think I'd be very popular if I did that!)

If I had $Billions in my treasure chest I would be the high bidder ... alas my financial reality precludes a bid on this certified (?) comic book.

One of those was found last year while demolishing a house. It was used as insulation and had been sitting in the the walls of a house for over 75 years. The comic was graded around 1.5 and worth around 100k. What was interesting about the story was how the guy brought the comic home and family members started arguing over it and ripped it. I read that the rip cost them about 75-$100,000. That copy has everything and white pages.

I bet someone will be waiting a long, long time before a similar one comes back to auction.

Nah, metal deteriorates a lot slower than paper.

I like how the price jumped from $0.99 to $1,000,000 in one bid.

I'd rather have a low grade reading copy.

Can you imagine the ebay and paypal fees ? And like someone else said, what about the worry of shipping? If they have 2 mil to spend on a comic book, I'm sure they can send someone to personally pick it up. Not for me

I bet the fees associated with this are comparable to the cut a respectible auction house would take. In fact, I bet ebay is the cheaper route considering alot of auction houses take 20%. Isn't eBay/paypall around 11% total fees?

$3,207,852.00 U.S., in Canadian dollars that is like a trillion bucks! I think my collection/bullion's value tips off at maybe 3 grand.
