Just a heads up to anyone who collects these and didn't get any from the mint last year , C/A has them on sale for $17.95 in their blowout sale. I think they were $24.95 if you bought them directly from the mint.

I have 3 each of the 2012 , 2013, 2014 rolls, was thinking of buying a few more 2013 since the price is decent but then again how many 50 cent rolls does one really need.

I'd buy one if buying other stuff to take advantage of the shipping, but not alone.

Issue price was $29.95 .

Issue price was twice as face value plus tax

Means $25+tax.

The 2013 was the first year, when the roll became "special" due to the colourful design of the roll paper.
But if I remember correctly, the mintage was higher than in 2012 and 2014.

In any way, nice discount for those, who doesn't have, or as a gift (I discovered , that majority of the people have no clue about 50c piece).
But to buy an extra, just because difference of literally couple of dollars? Like to spend $17 in order to save $8.

Thanks for the info..Northerncoins.
I bought one because it's my first 50 cents roll at a good price.
I check the RCM web and in 2013 there were 15,000 minted and 2014 20,000,
I paid a $1.13 more with Colonial.

Ya the 2013 had the lower mintage but the 2012 had only 10,000 I don't like how the mint keeps raising the mintage's but seems par for the course as far as the mint in concerned , I don't know but there is something about an unopened roll of coins that appeals to me plus the 50 cent is not in circulation anymore.
