Sorry you're having trouble ordering, I'm sure it's a temporary issue. Quote: I guess I'm going to miss out on the introductory price. The pre-release discount for the new Boys Town coins is in effect until April 9th or so. You have plenty of time. (The pre-issue discount for the Lions Club coins expired last week.)

Oh, OK. Thank you. I "read" the deadline as March 10, not April. Old age creeping up on me again. I'm chatting live with someone from the Mint as I type this. Probably won't order until later, when I'm in a better mood.

Wow. The Live Chat is just as ridiculous as the Mint's customer service. Geez. I think a higher power is telling me not to buy this issue.

Eh, give it a day and try the web site again for your order.

Quote: Eh, give it a day and try the web site again for your order. I might. Kind of over it now- both the frustration and the coin. Maybe I'll just prepare for the silver Krugerrand on Monday.

Well, it turns out that my trouble with ordering these was not the Mint's fault after all. My credit card expiration date had changed (updated), and I never updated my CC info on the website. At least I now know what was causing the problem. I ordered both the proof and uncirculated silver dollars last night. I can't wait to get 'em. I love the design.

Well I ordered the complete 5 coins for a complete set from 4 different ebay sellers NGC certified MS70 and believe me they weren't cheap. I found the cheapest coins and believe me I searched. I was gonna wait but I figured strike while they are readily available. Time will tell if I made the right choice I suppose but I'm happy. They are beautiful coins for sure.

No Celtic your math is correct I did think it was strange not having a MS gold $5 but when I was searching and purchased them there were none to be found. I just looked on ebay and only saw two. Let me explain I only purchase NGC coins for my registry set. NGC has changed their policy on their registry sets. Only NGC coins now so I will have to wait awhile before I purchase the other gold coin. Plus my coin fund took a hit on the others!

BTTB is looking for NGC graded 70's. Can't buy those from the Mint.

I inferred from "Well I ordered the complete 5 coins for a complete set..." that the belief was that there were no MS produced, not that there were simply none available. My mistake.
