I wonder where the seller get all these 1954 $20 bills. Did he find it under a mattress? Either that or someone left it in a safe deposit box.

Most of them look in poor condition. More like spending money. Even though the auction is over, he is selling 100 x $20 bundles for $2300.

He or someone he inherited these from had a contact at the bank, and bought up old bills that were brought into the banks. you could easily flip through and look at each bill and see if there is one. I would imagine that any that were in these stacks have been removed and replaced.

These bills have had over 40 years to be picked over for DF etc....they all look like spenders destined for the Bank of Canada furnace

you can be sure there are no DF in this lot, he sells notes, so the stack has been picked clean, only cherry pits left!
