Can someone help grade my 1911 half dollar?
Don't know if it can make a fine.
Fine needs 3 letters in liberty, mine has parts of all letters.
Thanks for the help.

Looks like F-12/15 to me.

Take Care

Looks like a fine to me also. I have always been told on Barber coinage that if you have 2 full letters and 2 half letters or more then it owuld grade a fine.

Solid F-12.

I'd say F12. I have no problems with the obverse but the reverse is what holds me back from going any higher.

Not much I can add that hasn't already been said. Good looking coin for the grade, though. Congratulations.

I have to dissent a little and say that overall I'd grade it VG-10. I won't quibble about the letters in liberty but the scratch through the mouth, the reverse, and the rim dings provide enough detractions to pull it under F for me. A good solid coin, one of my favorite series.

I'd vote with HABIB: VG-10. The 1914 Barber half I sent in with SuperDave's group PCGS submission has almost identical wear and PCGS gave that coin a VG-10. This coin is solid for that grade.

I agree with the VG10 grade. This is one of the coins whose grading standards changed to be more "market-friendly". By the old standards, LIBERTY needs to be complete in order to make Fine. I still grade by those standards. Yours is a solid VG10 in my book and very attractive for the grade.
