I bought a "key" coin from my friendly coin dealer today, as I continue to try and complete my Walking Liberty half collection.

My 1916S, graded VG, Walking Liberty cost me $90.

I think it was a good deal, but as good as a retired teacher can afford!

Gary, good buy and there is nothing wrong with collecting on a budget. I been doing that for 30 years and after all those years I am still coin poor! But, as I always say, at least I know where my money went! And, I can even show you!

Daniel:

I have been collecting Walkers since I completed my Franklins.

About two months.

Gary, sounds like you got a really good buy on the start of a good series. I really like this series but they sure are hard to grade.

Gary, does your Franklin set include all the proofs from 1950-63? I know the early proofs are getting pricy these days! Mike

Metalman: I still lack six, and they are the rare ones. So, it's a matter of saving until I can afford them.

Mike: Unfortunately, no proofs. Some nice coins, but no proofs. Maybe someday, when I win the lottery. The real nice coins I have in this collection were gifts from KoinQueen.
