Assigning higher grades to problem coins is plain wrong and gives this hobby a bad rep with young collectors.

I agree, but I think cracking out problem coins and not saying "This coins was cleaned" but saying "This coin might be cleaned or dipped." is even more wrong in my eyes, since it implies that it might have not been cleaned.

I agree this word needs to be spread just please remember to only say what you can back up on any board because you could find yourself in a slander lawsuit. Just a heads up

Everything that I know is listed on here and on the other forum. If you compare coins in the examples, they're the same. While grading is subjective, ANACS, PCGS, AND NGC call themselves experts in these fields, so when they say it's cleaned it's cleaned (plus most of them look cleaned). It would be a different story if he says "This coin is cleaned". Then that's fine. BUT, saying that "Oh, well this might be cleaned." is pretty fraudulent because he knows for a fact that it's cleaned. That would be like selling a car that you know was in an accident and telling the seller, that it might be in an accident but your not sure.
He also guarantees that all of his coins are authentic. That's because a lot of them were cracked out from problem ANACS slabs.

in the first thread that brought up all his problems it says he had 2 other nicks besides the ones listed here. In one instance he bought a coin slabbed as a copy of a key date coin for $10.00 and then the same seller turns around and calls it MS-63 and authentic and sells it for $1051.00

ok this now seatedlibertykeys which used to be King-O-Coins (which alot of people should recognize) had another nick before seatedlibertykeys and he bought a copy of a 1921-D walking liberty and it was graded by a less than reputable TPG as being a copy and was sold as such for 10.00 to him, he then turned around and sold it as genuine and as MS-63 where it was graded by the not so reputable TPG as AU. So not only is he selling a copy as genuine his grading is worse than the bargain basement slabbers Here he was the buyer (another name not mentioned in this thread) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...47269044&ru=http://search.ebay.com:80/search/search.dll%3Ffrom=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=330147269044&category0=&fvi=1 Here is where the same guy sold ithttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...30205111&ru=http://search.ebay.com:80/search/search.dll%3Ffrom=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=190130205111&category0=&fvi=1 As you will notice in the "Final Words" section on his selling auction he lists his name and its the same as King-O-Coins/seatedlibertykeys

I see he now has reverted to trying to find other members over there that has over graded coins (as if he knows how to grade anyway) on ebay and get the heat off of him and try to put the heat on those others selling on ebay. Over graded coins are something most people are used to because it happened with B&M dealers way before there were TPG's but to crack out a problem coin thats graded by a reputable TPG so you can sell it as problem free and make money on is something most people don't expect. They can usually tell its over graded by pictures but it can be hard to tell some of the problems with pictures because the lighting can hide alot of them and there are programs that can make things look alot better than they actually are

Thanks Bryan that clears it up. I've been reading some of the stuff going on on the other forum and this guy is unbelievable. Truly a scumbag. Sad thing is, I think he's going to keep on doing this. The good thing is that the only way he can sell these coins are through ebay. Hopefully people will be able to spot his auctions in the future. He is truly unbelievable. His acts have opened up my eyes even more and ebay and I don't think I'll even waste my time considering key date coins unless they're slabbed or unless I can see them in person before I give up my money.

quote: I don't know but these auctions that lists an 1897-O barber .25 are different and not the same.
I agree. Be careful Amazon. The last auction you list isn't even close to the same coin. All lighting aside, look at the mintmark location. Maybe you grabbed the wrong listing?
