I do keep all the coins I find from roll hunting that have die cracks, I keep them in a special album. I do like that coin, the dimes with die cracks I have found seem to usually be at the back of the head or the reverse.

I have seen those types you mention, also. I found a few of these "Pinoccios" in BU a few years ago and have been looking for a PROOF one like this for about two years now. Finally got two of them now.My search is over unless a few new ones pop up in the future.

Interesting coin but not a variety as noted on some forums. It is a die crack and that is a minor error. Still shouldnt happen on a proof coin though:-)

It not being a variety is going to change.

Let me know when and who declares it so. I would be curious....I can't imagine anyone calling a coin with a die crack a variety unless it becomes a part of a cute nick name for the coin.
