This dollar is 50% silver I think and in a case.What grade do you think it is as I do not have the coin yet but it looks good in the scan.

It is nickel I am afraid the fifty per cent silver is much larger and carries a different design.

Pacificoin is right.
That is the Nickel Proof-like Dollar issued in 1971.
The 50% Silver Dollar has the British Columbia Coat of Arms on the reverse and is 36.06 mm.

Here is a 1971 Silver dollar in original case. These dollars are
usually toned as a result of the raw coin contacting the packaging.

C&C lists that there are both PL and SP strikes of this coin, how to tell them apart?
