I have gotten better pictures of what I believe is a 1976 and a 1968 double die coin. Can anyone give me advice if these are legit?

Your images are getting better. But I'm still not seeing a doubled die. The devices that year are that size. If you have another coin from that year, you might try a side by side comparison. (different years have different size devices IE: 2001-2003 have wider obverse devices than other years of the 2000's coins) A side by side will give you a better idea if they are doubled or common for that year.

I can't tell on your coin. But you might check this site to get an idea of what types of doubling happened that year:

The 1968-1972 cents show a lot of machine damaged devices during that time. It usually reduces the devices:

Note the squared edge, step like that reduces the overall shape of the devices. These came from a normal die, but die movement during the strike damaged those devices.

I'm not seeing anything other than a normal circulated coin.
Rest in Peace

I've blown up the pictures you've provided until they are getting pixel sickness and I just don't see anything here that would indicate doubled dies.
