In search of opinions. 1943-D Walker, PCGS MS67, green jellybean. Looks to be blue-toned, I am not sure if that is a photo artifact or the real color. Price asked is $699. Buy or pass? It all depends on what your financial situation is I honestly cannot afford many high value coins but if I had the $ I'd buy it a gorgeous well struck 67'+ a cac sticker

I don't usually spend this sort of money on single coins, maybe every 3 months.
It looked really, really nice to me though.

Sold prices are all over the map for these with a bottom of $450 all the way to $810. My "happy price" for this one would be at the $600 point.

The coin is nice, but I agree with moxking, I wouldn't go any higher than $600. Also, the blue color is due to the imaging method and the coin itself will be blast white.

Looks like I'll take a pass on it for the price. Too bad seller doesn't have a best offer.

Send the seller a message asking if he is willing to do a best offer price. There is no harm in asking. Who knows he may be willing to do so.

Seller is banking on the fact that pops fall off a cliff above 67, such that 67  commands a significant premium. It's right at the top of the market and PCGS/NGC pop for this one is in the hundreds. There will be a better deal. |

Decided to buy some higher grade large cents instead; they're posted over on Classic Grading.

I was about to say; that half was one of the nicest I've seen. full hand and thumb, full breast feathers. but the price was just a little too high.

its quite an investment towards a collection when you spend $600 on a coin. I would imagine there are far more interesting and scarcer coins in that price range. If you handed me $600 right now to make a purchase I would be looking at something like an AU 1828 JR1 10c.

DS, I'm currently in the market for an XF-AU 1827 10c, as a matter of fact, but they are scarce to come by and tend to be either overgraded, overpriced, or both.
I picked up some nicer Large Cents instead of the Walker.
