I have know idea if this is in the right place, so please move it if it isn't. Thanks! Anyways... I was walking in a PetCo parking lot and noticed this car, with the licence plate reading "DDR-003" I thought this was interesting, and who knows, it might belong to a coin collector! I remember years ago as a child seeing a car registered either 1918KN or 1919KN - a car new in Maidstone, Kent in 1963 would have had this registration, so it was probably just a local car and not a numismatist's one.

Could be a small business fleet car or a doctors or dentists 3rd car in his personal "fleet" but hey I like the coin geek theory  What kind of car was it? |

Yes, I have seen my fare share if strange ones, I recall seeing one that must have belonged to a collector. The plate said 5CENTS. In fact, my mother has a strange plate as well, it says INHIDING. She is not a criminal or any thing, lol. It is the name of a song.

My forum name (SEL_69L) is also the license plate on my car.
The car?
A 1979 Mercedes-Benz W116 450SEL 6.9.
It has the 6.9 litre engine, which is a larger bore engine that is found in the 1972 W109 300SEL 6.3 (1967-1972).
This engine is also found in the Mercedes-Benz 600 Limosine, 1963-1981.

It may be legal to post a picture of a license plate COTW, but it ought to be illegal to post that one. What did you do, use macro setting? lol
