Is there some sort of label system that is affordable that I can make labels for my 2x2 cardboard coin holders?

Yes The p-touch is a good choice:

I bought a cheap software package a few years ago that works with pre-made adhesive tags on 8 1/2" x 11" sheets. It works for me. http://www.jakesmp.com/CSD_CW_Holde...s_002_M.html
Of course you will need a printer and any cheap desktop printer works fine.

I have about 1,500 ancient and World coins in 2x2 Mylar / cardboard flips.

I am very sure that the whole of my collection would have been better presented if every flip had the coin identified inside it with a 'stick on' printed label,
rather than my rather poor presentation of handwriting.

I thought about doing this for the presentation of the coins. Would look more uniform and pleasing than hand writing.

Thanks, is that tape going to touch the mylar on the flip? Do you label your flips a lot? Any pics? For the State Quarters I want to put the date/mm and the name of the state. Hope there is enough room for all that on the label.

I use a pencil. Cheaper and erasable. This way you can change the flips and no problem with lables.
