I knew the Kennedy would not do as well as the first 2 sets, but I was surprised it didn't sell out.

It's fascinating to think that the Prf-69 and MS-69 sets are priced cheaper than ungraded sets. It really shows how high of a price buyers are putting on graded 70 sets versus 69s.

So in other words the collectors that really wanted one can actually get one without being gouged by the flippers? :)

Does this "flip fail" mean there won't be a mad rush to order the Lyndon B. Johnson set on Oct. 27?

I'm am out of the game of flipping after this blunder. Already returned my two sets to the mint. Still waiting for a refund. I decided the profit margin to be too low on these after ebay and PayPal fees.

DonT get put now force. At 25k odds are Johnson will sell out quick and give a decent profit. It's Regan that's the question because the mint has plenty of time to reflect on these sales and decide the mintage. It will be extreemly telling of how the mint can gauge it's consumer base.

Not to mention the difference between 69s and 70s is very minute. Personally, I'm happy with my sets in their OGP, sitting on a shelf and lined up in order. To each their own though - especially when it comes to coins!

I agree. Love my OGP sets.
I am not taking any chances on the LBJ. I will get in at noon just like the others.

I'm seriously considering returning my Kennedys and trying for new ones. The medals are lousy with spots.

With all the reported problems with JFK, maybe it will become a conditional rarity.

This was my first big thing I got from the mint,i didn't get into it make money, but to have something that many would want though the years. The mint mess that up by being greedy setting the limit up so high when they should have kept it at 17k.I'm so disappointed I hope they keep the the other to 25k or below.I just wanted a set or a single coin that will be very rare. That why I start buying after I read and seen some of the things you guys have,i guess it will take time, hope to have the money when the mint bring out a nice different coin, they can place a high limit that everyone will want. All said I hope I can get the whole set.

If flipping was easy everyone would do it. These little lessons get thrown out when things seem too easy.

You know if the mint gives me at least a good set with no problems then I'll be happy to have them. NOT trying to flip them or get RP70 but to just have at least a good one. THEN with my luck, I got two bad sets. One that's really bad with spots all over and the other not too good over the other. I still kept them both tho because I'm tired of returning things...
