My collecting is rather diverse, maybe haphazard to some, but I collect what I like. The history of the piece and the artistic design are the appeal to me. I own very few uncirculated examples of any coin, for in a way they have no history, except for maybe the inside of a safe. I like most collectors have cents/half cents, large and small, Morgan's, mercuries, rosies, barbers (though I only have few), mostly just US minted coins, and paper money. I do collect some errors, but mainly in paper money, error collectors of coins seem to be a stranger lot and I'm not so sure I want to be associated with the group just yet. I get bored with a series sometimes and will change direction, but always jump back in when I see something I want. Lately I have been dabbling some in ancients, though I hated the reading of such history in my early life, I enjoy it now. Mainly because I can attach this history to a coin.
