It is also a decent strike. copper nickel issues are prone to weak strike characteristics. there appears to be a small Die Cud in the rev. shield The 63 is also very close to XF (ribbon/curl separation), but is somewhat weakly struck and in a late die state as revealed in the rev. die cracks. Both coins have very few marks making them real keepers. Report this Post to the Staff
hunter20ga Pillar of the Community United States 1173 Posts	Posted 01/24/2008 1:53 pm I'm leaning more toward EF for the '62 and a strong F for the '63. The die cracks in the reverse of the '63 are a real plus for me...add a lot of interest, but not any real value. In hand, and fully in focus, these coins could show better and perhaps warrant a higher grade. I'm in a cautious mood today, so may be undergrading!
