I recently purchased a kennedy collection in a dansco that had been through a fire for $43. I picked it up at a great price because of the damage. The dansco was not salvageable but it had $17 in clad coinage (which does not look good after a fire but do spend) and 14 silver clad (2 bicentennial), which still look reasonable after the fire. This includes a 70 D. It also had three 1964, one of which is a proof.
I got to looking at the 1964 proof and I think it may be an accented hair. I do not have experience with these so was looking for confirmation or denial of my hope.
I included a pic of the overall obverse, a pic of what I believe is the wishbone hair close up and a pic of what I believe is a truncated I in Liberty.
The reverse looks like a rounded G to me in FG, but I was not able to get a good pic of that.
Thank you, your input is very much appreciated. It was a good feeling because I think it is the first variety I noticed all on my own by just spotting it.
