I went to BOA and bought a variety of coins for my first time to look at and find errors. I recently opened a nickel roll that we're all new and beautifully shines. In most there seemed nothing wrong except for a few which have this protrusion from the "S" in STATES on the reverse side. It looks like a sharp thorn but pretty cool. I found three of them so far and was wanting to get anyone's opinion on it. Thank You!

to CCF. Does look like a die chip. You are more likely to find varieties then errors so you need to read up on them. Good luck with your hunting.
