181994335851 I purchased this coin on ebay and it just arrived today.

I am concerned about this seller, I am not sure how this works, but this guy has been doing this for awhile judging by his sold listings. High dollar. The photo here I took today. Just look at the date and mint mark. I found an picture in a google images search that matches exactly the obverse of this coin, with a link to a Chinese seller, although I cannot find the item page on the site. I asked the seller where he got the coin, and he replied, "This was one of my duplicates. I ve had it since I was a little kid."

The coin does have the look of a Chinese copy that was made using a cast manufacturing method with weak details and odd surface texture & tone. The seller has their prior sales/feedback listed as private, so I can not look at prior sales.

Let's see if other forum members can offer more definitive details that might assist you in getting a refund of your purchase price & shipping.

View sold items page HERE.

He has a 14 day return policy. I was prepared to eat the loss in case I were able to submit the coin to proper authorities. I do not believe this is the first counterfeit this seller has sold on ebay, nor do I believe the seller is unaware of its authenticity.

Some of those SOLD coins definitely look fake. They have the blah mushy cast look. Those 1909 S IHCs, and especially the 1921 S Buffalo.

I'm wondering if he deals exclusively with counterfeits.

This 26-s Buff looked decent until you see the raised dots on the right, reverse rim.
