I found in my change two of these poppy quarters they both have the same discolouration. I couldn't find any information on this type of error (if any) I did read in a similar thread that acetone can remove the colour on these coins. Some of the colour remained in tack on both coins in the same spot. Is it a keeper or not? Thanks

It's cool that you found some of these in your change!
But for the issue you've addressed, I don't think it's an error. The colour is just fading over time due to being circulated. You also see that some red is still present at the edges of the poppy, but that's because the center is the highest spot of the coin, and so it will be touched many times before you touch the edges.

Not unusual for the 2004 Poppy Quarter.
The 2004 Poppy was the mints first coloured circulating coin.
My daughter went on a tour of the mint a while back and the Guide told them that the red wore of quit easily as they had not yet perfected the printing process. By the time they printed the 2008 Poppy and the Olympic Quarters, the process was much better and there is now little wear of the colour.

I noticed a stamp like mark on this coin, is that an error or part of the poppy?

JimmyD,If you look closely at Sontildawn's coin, you can see the scalloped edges of the "stamp mark".The edge runs diagonally down ,right to left, from 3:00 to 4:00 through the ribbon. It then heads diagonally up left along the bottom edge of the center circle to the t in cents. Then it runs diagonally up to the right til it reaches the vein of the leaf and heads back diagonally down to the right along the top edge of the center circle.
I believe this to be part of the coloured poppy "decal" (for lack of the proper name).

makes perfect sense. Maybe SPP or someone else can shed some light

Canacoins,I've noticed this "stamp" mark on alot of the colourized coins.
Could it be a clear protective coat to have the colour last longer? I don't know for sure.
It'll be interesting to see what happens to the surface of these coins after they spend some time in circulation and are examined.

Put the coin under UV light... and the "stamp mark" will be explanatory...

There are two 2008 poppy 25 cents. I would like to know if It's common to have a 45° poppy rotation for the 2008.

Very common.
The poppies are painted on the coin after it is struck.
There is no default orientation, it's random.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

The coins being printed were free to rotate when the color printing was added. That was normal / within specifications. Any degree of rotation is possible. You could collect a set with all sorts of rotations of the poppy, but there wouldn't be any collector's premium value to them.

There have been collectors known to get 'round the clock' orientations with the 2006P Breast Cancer pink ribbon painted 25c coins.
