I'd appreciate feedback on this coin. Grade and value and is it worth being slabbed? Thanks in advance.

G4 or G6. From photo the coin appears to be genuine. The coin is well worth sending for grading even if gets a details grade. You may want to check on a couple die markers to confirm authentic before sending in for grading.

I'm going to say VG-10 at best. This is a key date coin worth being checked by an expert.

I'd say VG-10 details (cleaned).

Thanks for the replies. I'll look up die markers? I took it to a shop today. Asked for a ball park grade or value but was told that I could pay for an appraisal. I declined and asked what the shop would charge me to send it in for TPG; ~$100 in addition to the TPG fee. I look forward to posting more picts for feedback and learning.

You will need a 10X loupe to see the die markers. In photo note the rabbit ears on the first leg of the bottom of the R in LIBERTY and there is a slanted line at the top of the T.

G6, dipped. I don't think the dip makes too much of a difference at this grade but if you want to get it slabbed might want to sit it out for a bit in open air to let it naturally retone

It looks good from the photos but you will need to confirm the die markers that Slider23 posted. G6 to VG8 details seems about right for the grade. I would get it graded if you plan on selling it.

Absolutely have it graded and slabbed! I would advise against going to the shop you specified above. They are probably just in envy or hoping you want to sell at jerk prices. One to stay away from IMHO. They didn't owe you a wooden nickel. But they could have at least told you to do your homework or something along those lines. YMMV
