Here's an example of the Snow-2 variety, where the top of the 2 punch was broken when the date was added to the die. The seller thought this was a filled die, but it matches the S-2 diagnostics, and there's a later die state where the 2 is repaired.
One thing I find interesting is the smooth contour of the hanging curl to the 2. Did wear smoothen this feature over time, or was it noticed and filed down by hand? Presently, this is the only known IHC die with this broken 2.
Thanks! In terms of value, Rick Snow's attribution guide calls it "a highly sought after variety with a premium between 3X and 5X". I only paid $6, and I like it outside of value, but I'll be happy if it's worth something more.
