Is This Note Real? Not Really That Old 1963A.

Gnatz112233 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 05/11/2016 8:41 pm I have a 1963a $50 bill. From my understanding these didn't have security features as of yet? My bank atm keeps spitting it out and I'm not sure if it's due to it being fake or too old? And since my atm is spitting it out I'm scared to take it anywhere and trying to cash it. lol. The only thing I can see are the little fibers throughout but I've heard those were easily faked? I can't remember the last time or if ever I've seen a bill without any kind of security features. Security features weren't introduced until Series 1990 (the security strip and microprinting around the portrait). Series 1996 was the first of the noncolored large-portrait notes that had the watermark. The ATM was probably not accepting it due to its lack of a security strip.
