Know if this coin is a regular production, pattern, or some type of experimental coin? Currently claimed to be only 2 known. Have ya got one . seen one, or know what it's value may be? Vaslin Pillar of the Community United States 914 Posts	Posted 02/28/2008 12:12 am Sorry Gusp. The coin I have is the 1947-S where the mint mark was designed for a foreign coin but mistakenly used on this one run of dimes. I don't have the 1946-S sans serif one. Report this Post to the Staff

A couple of years ago Gene Bruder reported an XF specimen and not long afterward a VF specimen surfaced. Until now nothing else had been reported. Ah! So we are talking about the same thing.
