I think you're right on VF-30 to EF-40
So I'd call it VF-35
That "wood-grain" like toning is possible on copper, not a sign of cleaning

You can see it on my 1923 1c

Yes I'd say you graded it well. I'd be on the EF side

I'm leaning to the 40 side but I like the 35 if it was possible for ICCS to do that.
