I'll lead off with EF-40.

I personally don't like the light spot on the reverse, makes me think it might be cleaned. Then again, it might be the picture, so I'll say VF-35

The picture is over exposed on the upper half of the coin. I always under grade these coins, so I'm going to get fast and lose and say AU-50. That grade assumes that there is some mint luster on the piece, and not just a trace. If there is little or not mint luster, it's an EF.

EF-40. 1917 type 1's should have a good strong strike and I'm not seeing any vertical lines in the shield unless the lighting is hiding them.

Over-exposure could be the problem, agreed. Eagle's breast still looks too worn for AU, but I'm hardly an expert here.

Thanks everyone. One again apologies on the glare. I'm not seeing the vertical lines in the shield but there is very good mint luster remaining on the coin. Where that puts it I'm not so sure.

Couple of light hits here and there ,the glare is killing me ,can't see what I'm looking for . some wear on the coin . But I'll agree to AU-50 .
