Hi everyone, I was just wondering if they minted two type of 2003 5 cents, because when I look at all the other 2003 denomination the queen's picture is the most recent one(without a crown), but on this 2003 5 cents the picture of the queen is the same as the 2002(with the crown). Any info is appreciated!

Thanks,
Jason

Yes, there were two types of each coin in 2003, the old effigy and the new effigy.

There actually four different varieties:, my son (6 years old at the time) pointed them out to me:

Crowned, no-P
Crowned, P
Uncrowned, No-P
Uncrownd, P

I've always really liked those sided nickels best :) I didn't know they did a 1953/2003 one, but of course, I just got into this coins thing ;)
