Hi Everyone, I'm really not sure about either of these coins other than that they are probably South Asian. They are both copper and have some environmental issues. The first may in fact be a nineteenth-century princely state piece, but I'm not certain. The second coin does not have much to go on. So any help with either of these would be greatly appreciated!
I'm not too familiar with South Asian coins but Dr N Sreedhar has contributed some very informative posts on the coins of India. Check these links on CCF and, if you believe your coins are from the Princely States you might find them featured here:-
aiglet7 & bart- thanks for the help! Yes, I had before wondered if it was from Jaipur due to the leaf-like symbol. I had suspected that it might have been a 1/2 Paisa from 1943-44, KM#176. However, many of the details really did not match up. Of course it is possible that my paisa is very off-center and, thus, the detail which I am seeing is not the same as well-centered and struck pieces featured online and in price guides.
