The bays are the outside part of the die, so it it is damaged with a dent, then it will show as a raised area on the bay. It doesn't follow the design so it isn't a hubbing issue. But note what coppercoins mentions about this area: http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/...ie_state=mds So it seems to be a border line area for attributers. I found one a while back that was declined by coppercoins. But didn't pursue it with John Wexler. If it were a doubled die, it seems more of the bays would also be affected and the rest of the design. So I don't think it is a doubled die. IMOHO Report this Post to the Staff
