I am not saying they selectively ground it down, I am saying the machine that moves them along accidentally ground it down. It is obviously an error coin as it has a big glob of core metal on it.

I already have a Test Token no 06791, I have a misaligned core that I can see light through. I have been interested for a long time and have a good collection I inherited both my grandfathers collections, up until now the misaligned core was my pride and joy.

look at the black left there from the heat..your coin was ground down and the heat created(or something else) melted the brass core and made the giant blob of metal.

Last try. The grinding is reasonably recent. The rest of the coin shows circulation and even a counting machine circle. But no marks to speak of on the grinding or the blob. That means it was ground down after it was already in circulation.

I am glad you all have a different opinion than I do. I am keeping it, I know what it is and should I ever have grandchildren with will have something of extreme value.

Bob

send it to be certified, that way both you and your grandchildren will know what you have.

if it comes back as a legitimate mint error I will pay the full costs of certification/shipping/handling/insurance etc.

Someone used a small torch to heat up the coin and the centre core began to bubble so they attempted to clean it up with a small table grinder.
My guess is they possibly thought the core would pop out with the intense heat.
Discolouration of the outer core can clearly be seen on the obverse near the "Glob".

KnowBob I have a question. Why did you bother asking for these experts opinion (and they are experts)if you already know what you have. Contact the Edmonton Numismatic Society, They are the closest to you. You can google their number. Be prepared, because you are probably not going to like their answer.

Nobody takes a grinder and torch to townie to make it look like this, also the rules of physics don't really allow for these peoples theories. For fun you would grind off the whole side. A torch would damage in a pattern that would look MUCH different than a glob with clear definition. Barely touching it with a grinder wouldn't melt through to the other side. I did contact the Numismatic society, I sent an email to the editor in chief, not the president or anyone really high up there. I should send it to the CCCS as they are Canadian and not in Trumpland. I am glad no one here has seen one this means SUPER RARE. Thanks for your opinions :) If someone could send me a link to a video of something like "HowIt'sMade" the toonie that would be awesome.

I guess that everyone has their own version of a pipe dream. Go ahead and submit it to Louis at CCCS and all you'll get is a body bag and a $60 invoice.

I understand that these credible people will error on the side of caution to keep there reputation. I am glad that I am pretty certain that I have the rarest bimetal coin in the world and I am now pretty much an instant Quadrillionaire because that is my selling price and yes I know that is over the total world economy
