Might be. Does that create no ripples on the edge? Just curious because I have seen others with that error on this year when looking it up.

Looks like it might have spent some time in the ground. If it was missing clad layer, you wouldn't see any silver color.

I don't think it's missing a clad layer, and the rim missing the reeding is due to wear after the coin got out of the mint. However, I think you might have a lamination error. I wasn't sure after your first pictures, but the last two make it a strong possibility.

Note how the rim is rolled over. Not how the reeds are missing. The coin is a Dryer Coin.
