Nice work sleuthing on that second one Bob! I'd have never found that.
@Paul, I'm almost positive that the first one is French. It looks like a pretty good match for Roberts 4452 (Auxerre, in Southern Champagne France), minted in the 11th and 12th Centuries. The obv pic should be rotated 90° counter-clockwise (so that the IO characters are at about 7 o'clock on the clock face). The obv legend is somewhat degenerate, but should read roughly as ALTSIODERCI. The obv cross is a Latin cross, with the lower portion extending all the way to the edge of the coin. Interestingly, the rev does not have a king's name nor a king's monogram like virtually all other early French Feudal deniers, just those four groupings of three dots. Nice pieces that you have here!
