Hello all.
Few days ago I bought my first Morgan dollar, it's a 1898P.
Just for fun I tried to pinpoint VAM on it - with moderate success. I guess it's a subcategory of 1898-P VAM-2, but on those the crack goes form E above the D and after that towards the rim, while on my coin goes from E to D an than to the wing.
I'd be very happy for any suggestions about this one

It looks like VAM-2C at or very near VLDS to me.

Thank you. On my coin however there are no impressions by the cotton leaf. With VLDS - would they not increase over time and use (be more obvious in later states)?
Totally new in this, so pleace forgive me
