here is what I am looking at. there is 2 coins here. I wanted to see if the group could explain what happened here. I have an idea just wanted to know hat other think.

"Micro" Metal Flakes struck into coins are not uncommon. Sometimes they are retained which may be the case here.

That is what I think really happened but,top arrow at the grey arched line,other arrows at greyish/black dots.Underneath the "micro flake",
That's what "I" see.

got the word back from the university. they checked this coin for me. it is a stamp, that was on a bar or plate of nickel.
