Okay so I was thinking. We all use silica gel stored with our stacks. There has got to be a way to make our stack storage safer without just purchasing single boxes for expensive and without having to change our air tites out for 2x2 quadram or small slab boxes. So I searched different storages I only found small expensive things to store small amounts of material. Then the bags, Well I got smart lol. I wonder if they have inserts or strips to stick in our safes/storage areas. Well I found something I think and I believe it will save my fellow stackers lots of money not replacing all their storage. Goto Amazon type in intercept anti tarnish strips. They are 2x7 come in packs of 10 and cost 10$... please let me know if you have experience with this. Has intercept tech helped you? Is it a scam? Does copper and silver harm one another scientifically? Anyhow this protect 30 to 400 cu ft it will save you from having to swap all your current storage I hope this idea saves my fellow stackers money please let me know your thoughts on my idea and or if you have tried this or will try this.

I store my absolute favorites in Quadrum intercepts, arranged in Lighthouse MBM boxes in the aluminum display case. This showcases my very favorite 100 Ag 1 oz. coins.

For bulk storage silver coins, I use direct fit Ait-tites and stack them 100 oz. deep in small Pelican-style cases. Original mint rolls would have been fine too, but I hate that the coins scrape on each other when you move the rolls around.

Getting up into the several hundreds and then thousands of ounces of silver, I'd rather trade off into Au, Pt, or Pd.

So you don't think these strips would help with bulk storage tarnish and other environmental factors? And you are saying that for numismatic to go ahead and put them in 2x2 quadram intercepts and not air tites and or air tite boxes.... I was just thinking for people looking for an alternative for bulk storage that these strips would save a bunch of money not having to replace all their current storage items. I dunno I am asking if the community thinks the strips would be beneficial for bug stacks vs individual boxes that cost more. I just don't know if it would work. I was thinking for even further protection than the safe if you do have something in a small box you can cut a piece of strip place in the box.. I always wondered as well I know some plastics cause tarnish and corrosion. My thought was like I have Ziploc bags of stuff in my safe not touching my silver but in same safe. Does the plastics papers with certain inks money bags fire proof bags being in the safe even thpugh not touching my silver could it harm my silver. I wpuld think the plastic my safe and fire proofing in sfe would be har.ful to a stack any thought

At one time I owned a small retail store that sold beads and findings. I used the strips in trays that held silver beads and they helped to keep them from tarnishing as fast. I live in FL. and silver can tarnish pretty quickly here when kept out in the open. I use airtites for all my 1 oz. silver bullion coins inside zip lock bags with a silica gel desiccant inside each zip lock. All my silver coins are stored inside safety deposit boxes at the bank. Even with all the protection some of them are a little tarnished but it's going to happen. No way to 100% prevent it but it doesn't bother me.

They very well may, only way to see is to try it out! I use little plastic canisters with holes drilled in the lid and filled with silica cat litter, for my desiccant.
I'd prefer the coins don't tarnish, but an ounce is an ounce when I'm stacking purely for weight.

I didn't "need" the Quadrum intercepts necessarily, but I feel a little better having my best silver bullion coins stored in them.
The other major bonus is that the holders are all square 2X2, whereas the Ait-tites could move around in the tray due to being round.

Sort of like this, but all large silver coins...
