Does anyone know how many 2004 Proof American Platinum Eagles were minted? Specifically the 1/10 ounce coins.

'Coin Prices' (Krause Publications) indicates 6846. The 2009 RedBook says 3171. Does anyone know which (if either) of these is correct?

I heard somewhere that the U.S. Mint website has this info. I sure can't find it. (I found the 'bullion' figures, but not proof figures.)

Any ideas?

I just checked a site and they have it noted that the mint sometimes doesn't release the numbers for several years. They did show 15,010 issued in uncirculated condition however. The site is a sales site so I won't link it. You can go to lynncoins.com and surf platinum.
