I'm 66. I don't search coin rolls, but I do pretty regularly check all my change. I haven't so much as found a Wheat cent in my change since probably 1965. I read accounts of roll searchers here and in Coin World and Numismatic News and am amazed at reports of finding silver and other archaic coins "(I was going through grandpappy's old Folger's tin full of coins and dad gum if I didn't come across a Brasher Doubloon. Too bad it was only XF."
The only thing of any significance that I can report is back around 1974 I went to the bank to deposit my paycheck on a Friday (remember those days?) and asked for some half dollars and got 4 or 5 40% silver coins. I live in Southern California and I can't even come across a 2017 penny with a P mintmark, and probably never will.

Howell1018, not even a wheatie? I suppose I'm lucky, I find between a half-dozen to ten wheats per year in pocket change. Back in the late 70's, I'd score a half dozen silver dimes and several silver halves. I checked my father's change also. I didn't score many silvers from rolls though, because of all the roll hunters back then scooping up the $50 silver.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors...
Roll hunting since '77
Dirt fishing since '72

Wow...sorry!
I'm 61 and don't CRH either but in the last couple of years have found a BU mercury and a few wheat cents in change.
Rest in Peace

I live in MO, I'm also a CRHer. Don't feel bad about not seeing 2017P, in 12,250 (5 boxes) I have seen...2, 0 in circulation...and I'm halfway there! As for wheat cents, find maybe 5-12 per box, last was was a bonanza, 16, one was 1909P. What is sad, when finding these, you wonder who's dipstick relative bank dumped grandpa's collection, especially when these "uber" finds are discovered.

I get ~2-4 wheats a month, a few months ago my buddy cashier at the gas station saved me 3 rolls which were all wheats... I like in the southern part of NY... And 2017-P pennies... Common by now...
