1985 Lincoln Cent. I'm sure it worthless but what causes this? Raised spots are under chin on left edge and by the D mint mark.

Die chips and zinc rot/die deterioration...I think.

It looks like the early stages of zinc rot, when zinc is exposed to the elements because of a break in the copper plating.
