The only ones really worth anything with restored dates are the two well known varieties(1918/7-D and 1916 DDO) and some of the branch mints. Any Philly issues with a restored date have minimal value and those are best to use for practice in restoring dates
Where can I get date restorer? I have a bunch of buffs with no dates. Does it also work with pennies? I have some pennies that look like a possible mint mark on some.
I can't find the auction listing now, but a buffalo guide did mention that an acid restored 16DDO did sell for about $300 and a 1918/7D sold for $170.If I find the reference, I will post it later.
