Last week I was checking out coins from different sellers on ebay and came across a seller that goes by the name of Sam's Coins. http://www.ebay.com/usr/sams_coins_...47675.l2559. He is offering different lots at different prices including 1 slabbed coin at least 10 years old or older for $9.00 plus $2.64 for shipping. According to his sight, each coin is graded MS64 or better by PCGS or NGC. After pondering over it for two days I decided to take the bait. Well, today my coin arrived. It is a 1982 S deep cameo graded by PCGS as PR69DCAM. I went on to the PCGS sight to verify it and it checked out and is valued at $25.00. Now I know it's not a sought after coin and of course I was hoping for something spectacular but to me, this is spectacular because it is my first slabbed coin and I only paid $11.64 for it. I still do not have a decent camera but here are a couple of pictures I took with my IPad and a magnifying glass. Believe me, these pics do the coin no justice.    Edited by Tootallious

You trying to get us to guess the PCGS grade? 67 or 68 DCAM I buy proof sets for about $5 a piece online auctions...?  Edited by Crazyb0

A very nice coin at a cheaper price. Just the cost of grading it is about twice as much so for us that don't send coins in it is a good way to get nicer common coins. :)

Than you! Yes, in hand it does look flawless. There's a few scratches on the slab itself but I don't see any marks on the coin.

Congratulations, a nice coin.
As both a coin and banknote person, I can tell you that slabbed material can be very appealing, and very expensive, too. Watch out for 'grade disease'.
There can be some real bargains to a collector willing to look below the top grades, especially since the better items, regardless of grade, seem to getting slabbed.
