Oh gheez. Never hold a MS coin in your hand like this seller did. Not very smart of the seller. Always hold by the rims or have gloves on. I get a kick of these though because of how how the seller handled the coin. Probably now has tons of sweaty fingerprints.

Apparently, none of you noticed the "rare mint error" that caused the value to skyrocket...
It is a 1974 dollar released in 1972.

Can someone tell me why people keep taking pictures of coins in their hands? Is it a deliberate attempt to avoid showing potentially unflattering details?
It is easier to just place the coin on a flat surface and take the picture with your smart phone. Just get a book or a block and place the phone with the aperture over the edge. Use up to 4x magnification, and the coin will fill over half of the screen.

Quote: Just get a book or a block and place the phone with the aperture over the edge This is how I do it. I used books until I found this empty Hershey cocoa container that was the right size. It also helps keep the phone steady while tapping the screen to take the photo.

Yes, @jbuck, it seems so simple to do it right. Why can't everyone be sensible like us?

It's a special five finger holder, or that not included?
