Not a Doubled Die. MD ( Machine Doubling). You can see how the devices are reduced in size. There are no listed Doubled Dies for the 2017 D cent.

There are no doubled dies for Denver shield pennies since 2010.

This is an effect called by one as "pop-doubling". In the single squeeze process the coins are stamped and squeezed. If the dies are loose, after the stamp a small hop can occur turning the dies slightly, a misalignment. The final pressure twists it into alignment with a loud pop. This is the result.
