Just wanted to drop a quick hello to everyone. I've had a lot going on in the real world which has caused me to curtail all coin spending. I'll be back. Just have to get through this quagmire and over this hump before it happens. Belated Happy Holidays and stuff. Look forward to posting again soon.

Not too sure how it is possible to make a good impression with the countertop in yet leave the back undamaged. The physics behind implementing a countertop means you have to have rigid support behind the coin or the countertop does not take well. Such as if you put it on a block of wood and hit the punch with a hammer the coin is going to be more readily driven into the soft wood surface, then take a deep countertop design. I often wondered if how they can use leather to make a "Texas "Cent," if using something similar to make countertops might preserve the reverse somehow. But still thinking it would take a lot of experimentation because that punch is concentrating all of the force on a very small area versus hammering on the entire coin between two pieces of leather.
