I was searching through ebay listings of world coins and I came across this. I see several things that could make it a counterfeit:
1) A possible seam-line (Obverse: 11-12 o'clock and Reverse: 12-3 o'clock)
2) Line streaks coming from "ONE DOLLAR" on the reverse
3) Chop Marks look strange to me

I could be mistaken, but I wouldn't want anyone to be taken advantage of. What do you think? Is it a counterfeit or is it a genuine 1903 Straits Settlements One Dollar?

For that price, you are much better off looking elsewhere...

Seller does have a 100% feedback, but I concur with gxseries, for that price better to look elsewhere.

JimmyD could you elaborate on what you mean by the copy is all wrong ?

I would not buy this coin if I were you, as it looks fake.

Since it appears to be fake, should I contact the dealer and nicely let him know what he really has or not?

It doesn't hurt. It's possible the seller doesn't know.

Numister-
I should have worded my reply a little differently.
What I was referring to was the type font is wrong.

In terms of the word dollar, it is thin and mushy. Not distinctive. Refer to above image. Crude characters. A better made Chinese fake. Also has some fake toning, typical.

Thanks

Anthony
